The signatories of this charter are committed to playing a leading role in promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion in the workplace. This document reflects our commitment to creating an inclusive culture that fosters innovation and values every individual in the organization.

Charter for Equality, Diversity and Inclusion for Employers in the Geoinformation Sector in Switzerland

As a signatory organization in the geoinformation sector, we commit to …

  1. recognizing and valuing the diversity and uniqueness of people within our organization and our environment;
  2. actively promoting a culture of inclusion in which mutual respect, appreciation and equal opportunities for all are central;
  3. raising awareness of equality, diversity and inclusion, deepening understanding, and encouraging reflection;
  4. sensitizing individuals within our organization to the importance of diversity and fostering inclusive communication;
  5. ensuring equal opportunities for all current and future members of the organization;
  6. taking into account diverse origins, backgrounds, perspectives, skills and other characteristics in the recruitment, hiring and development of talent;
  7. enabling individuals within the organization to participate in learning and development opportunities related to equality, diversity and inclusion;
  8. ensuring that all individuals understand their personal responsibility and integrate the principles of this charter into their daily work;
  9. promoting this charter and the associated measures both within and outside our organization.

Guiding Principles

Equality

Every person in the organization [1] is equal in their rights and dignity and, regardless of role, education, origin, race, gender, age, language, social status, marital status, lifestyle, religious, ideological or political beliefs, sexual orientation and gender identity, physical, mental or psychological disability, or professional status, as well as any other characteristics or status, has equal opportunities.
