Education
The SOGI Education Group is a nationwide institution in Switzerland focused on coordinating and strengthening education and training opportunities in the field of geoinformation. Its members benefit from active exchange on current trends, educational offerings, and research findings in geoinformation. This helps make the educational landscape more transparent and accessible to interested parties. Our initiatives, such as GEOSchoolday, are specifically aimed at promoting young talent in our sector. In addition, we actively contribute to the further development of education in the geoinformation sector by providing our expertise, participating in consultation processes, and issuing position statements.

«Through my involvement with SOGI, I aim to promote and support the educational landscape in Switzerland in the field of geoinformation. As Head of Education, training and continuing education are particularly close to my heart, because only well-trained professionals in the field of spatial information can meet the upcoming challenges of managing the scarce resource of “space” while simultaneously strengthening the Swiss labor market.»
