Technology

GIS Technology takes a forward-looking approach to the technical development of GIS technology and related IT fields. It addresses current and future issues faced by GIS users, taking into account aspects of the Swiss Geoinformation Strategy. The results are made available to SOGI members in an appropriate format.

Markus Schenardi, Board of Directors

«For me, SOGI is an important platform for exchanging ideas with experts in the GIS field. The Technology Group brings together the collective expertise of all GIS vendors and technologies within a single group of unique experts. This open exchange fosters technological development for everyone involved.»

«For many years, I have been actively involved in the SOGI Technology Group. This group brings together a wealth of experience and extensive knowledge in the field of GIS technology, whether from manufacturers, developers, researchers, or users. The professional and personal exchanges within the Technology Group, as well as the focused, technology-oriented discussions, provide significant value—not only for me, but also for the Swiss geoinformation community.»
